Infant abandoned

Mount Lavinia Police yesterday morning found a 10-day old infant girl lying abandoned along Daham Mawatha, Golumadama, Ratmalana following a tip-off by the public.

The infant was admitted to the Kalubowila Colombo South hospital Children’s ward (No. 15 B) by the Mt. Lavinia Police Children’s and Women’s Bureau for medical investigations.

Hospital Director Dr. Anil Jasinghe said the infant is in good health, under the care of the ward staff.
