Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) in its strategy to develop tourism events is promoting Ramayana Pilgrim Tours to Sri Lanka.

"We consider this as a great event which is now happening regularly and are fully supportive of the efforts of the Development Authority to develop Asoka Vathika sites in Sri Lanka to attract more and more Ramayanaya groups from India in to Sri Lanka," says General Manager of the Bureau (SLCB) Vipula Wanigasekera. Director General of Sri Lanka Tourism S. Kalaiselvam said that this concept is fast catching up in India with several tourists specially arriving to go on this trail.

SLCB last week also presented a Ramayanaya cultural program to a group of 200 Swamis and devotees who were enthralled by the performance.

The Ramnayanaya episode was presented by Aru Sri Art Theatre and Chandana Wickramasinghe Dance Academy.
