Five-year Agricultural Development Program launched

The Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority launched a five-year Agricultural Development Program in Bowwagama Grama Seva Division, Pasbage Korale Divisional Secretariat area. More than 300 farmers in Bowwagama, Samanalagama, Selam Bridge, Hallgama, Imbulpitiya and Imbulpitiya Colony have been selected for it.

Under this scheme farmers who own a quarter acre or more will be provided with agricultural tools like forks, crowbars, seeds and plants free of charge. The entire project is divided into three stages which are Soil Conservation, Cultivating the Crop and Economical Producitivity.

Home gardening, cultivation of fruit crops, non-traditional crops all come under this programme. The Free training and purchasing the product would be undertaken by the authority.
