Lonely girl
Rain Rain go away
Sang the little girl
Seated on a broken chair
In her ramshackle shack
With a longing look
She looked at the beach
Where she and her siblings
Played with gay abandon
Now she is alone
Living with her blind uncle
As her siblings and parents
Were killed during the Tsunami
She and her uncle were told
That they will get a new house
It was only a promise
Yet to materalise
When her uncle goes out
To beg for food
She cringes in a corner
Fearing the howling wind
Will she be killed
By the raging sea
As it happened to her family
She wanders with tears rolling down
