Annual Pinkama at Amunugoda Sri Parakumba Rajamaha Viharaya

The 57th annual pinkama of Gampaha-Amunugoda Sri Parakramabahu Raja Maha Vihara began yesterday and will continue till February 3 under the guidance of Sasthrapathi Parakandeniya Dheerananda Thera and the patronage of Most Venerable Siyanekorale Chief Adikarana Sanganayaka Amunugoda Somananda Thera.

The Asu Maha Srawaka Pooja which began yesterday will be held until January 7. Dhamma sermons will be delivered from January 7 to 28.

Welamitiyawe Kusaladhamma, 8 - Sivuralumulle Sumanarathana Thera, 9 - Pathegama Sumanarathana Thera, 10 - Dharanagama Kusaladhamma Thera, 11 - Udugampola Gunananda Thera, 12 - Kudagama Chandananda Thera, 13 - Rathmalawita Chandananda Thera, 14 - Uyanwaththe Thera, 15 - Nedagamuwe Wijayamythree Thera, 16 - Induragare Dhammarathana Thera, 17 - Wathurawila Sujatha Thera, 18 - Mawarale Baddhiya Thera, 19 - Uthuraweala Dhammarathana Thera, 20 - Gonahene Wimalananda Thera, 21 - Panakawe Premarathana Thera, 22 - Pitidhuwe Dhammika Thera, 23 - Itthepana Dhammalankara Thera, 24 - Akmeemana Dhammapala Thera, 25 - Arawatthe Neminda Thera, 26 - Dewalegama Medananda Thera, 27 - Malwane Chandrarathana Thera and 28 Borelle Athula Thera.

Thispeyahethea Parith-rana Dharma Desana will commence on January 29 and Dorakadaasna and Anusasana sermon will be at 10 p.m. on February 2. Dorakadaasna will be recited by Kaushalya Karunanayaka and the sermon will be delivered by Sivuralumulla Sailaramadhipathi, Siyane Koralaye Dwiteeya Sanga Nayaka, Rajakeeya Panditha, Bandarawela Saradha Thera.

The Sangamittha Maha Perahera together with the Duruthu Maha Perahera will parade the streets on February 3, night.
