Shelter for tsunami affected

The UN Habitat will set up 450 houses for tsunami affected in the
Batticaloa district.
The aim is to rebuild the psycho-social activities of the affected.
The People's participation will also be obtained to construct these
houses, an official of the UN Habitat, Ampara said. A meeting to select
the beneficiaries was also held recently.
The beneficiaries will also be provided drinking water, health and
infrastructure facilities, he added. |
