Police Seva Vanitha school book project

The Police Seva Vanitha Unit and the Police Families Welfare
Association led by Anoma Goonetileke Wickremaratne, Attorney-at-Law,
wife of IGP Jayantha Wickremaratne have commenced a number of welfare
projects to benefit Police personnel and the public.
Anoma Goonetilleke Wickremaratne has made arrangements to distribute
school books and stationery to school children in remote areas.
The Unit will also provide books to school libraries. Over 17,000
children of Police personnel below the rank of Sergeant will receive
school books and stationery at a ceremony to be held on December 27, at
the Bambalapitiya Police grounds, Havelock Road, Colombo at 9 a.m.
The Police Seva Vanitha Unit has also contributed to the development
of school buildings.
"Those schools are Kalutara Deshastra College, Kuruvita Paladeniya
Kanista Vidyalaya, Chilaw Munneshwaram Wadiambigha College, Ingiriya
Palpitigoda Kanista Vidyalaya, Hambantota 10 Kuda Gammana and 20 primary
schools benefitted by our projects, Police Seva Vanitha Unit (PSVU)
