Ceylinco Chairman reassures investors

Golden Key Credit card company assured that all the money due to the
depositors would will be paid back with interest soon.

"We are not going to close the institution like Pramuka Bank or run
away like Sakvithi Finance," Chairman Ceylinco Group Lalith Kotelawela
said.
Speaking to depositors at a meeting at BMICH held yesterday, he said
interest for the depositors will be paid from next February. He also
pointed out that there have many people who had taken advances and if
they stop functioning borrowers would get an advantage.
He assured that they had sealed some offices and the company needed
time to take legal action.
Wasantha Marasinghe an entrepreneur from Matara who had invested in
the company said he is now confident that justice would be served upon
them.
Subsequent to the controversy the Chief Executive of Golden Key
Khavan Perera was asked to resign from his position by the Ceylinco
Group Chairman Lalith Kotelawela. |
