Standards to counter air pollution
The Central Environment Authority has appointed a committee to
formulate standards on pollution agents emanating from industries, CEA
Chairman Udaya Gammanpila said.
This committee will study various aspects of standards prevailing in
Asian countries in formulating these standards suitable to Sri Lanka.
The report once finalised will be subject to evaluation from the
technical committee. public views on the proposals are also to be
entertained during the first quarter of 2009. |
