The talk of the country is the cross over of Minister Karu Jayasuriya
to the opposition party and the fact that he would resign if any
injustice occurred in giving appointments to grama niladaries, Minister
of Education Services Nirmala Kotalawela said.
"He is a very good leader and a friend of mine and he left the
Government due to personal reasons. He is a person who performed what he
said.
He told in public that if any injustice occurred when giving
appointments to grama niladaries, he would resign from his post.
An appointment has been given to a person who hasn't even got through
his O/L maths and another who has been convicted by law.
This resignation from his post proves that he is a person who
practised what he preached", the minister stated at the opening ceremony
of the new bus stand in Bulathsinhala.
The new bus stand was built at a cost of Rs. 140,000 by the Peoples'
Bank and Peoples' Leasing Co. Ltd. at the request of President Mahinda
Rajapaksa and Minister Kotalawela. |
