Yovun Prathiba - A quest for superlative young talent

The inaugural ceremony of Yovun Prathiba, the quest for superlative
young talent organised by the Mohan Lal Grero Foundation was held at the
Lyceum International School Hall recently.
The programme was launched with the belief that once talented youths
are trained and nurtured, they will contribute to enriching the theatre,
cinema and television industry in Sri Lanka as trail blazing directors
and performing artistes.
Training will be done on scholarship basis (no charges made). Eminent
artistes like Dr. Tissa Abeysekara, Kalakeerthi Harsha Markalanda,
Kolitha Bandu Dissanayake and Sheshan Palihakkara took part in the event
along with Mohan Lal Grero, the pioneer of the Foundation. Over 1,000
youths from all over the country also took part. |
