Karu's jump strength to LTTE - NFF Leader

The crossover by Parliamentarian Karu Jayasuriya can be considered as an action taken in support of the LTTE, leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF) Wimal Weerawansa said.

"This cannot be considered as a simple or isolated incident since there are various actors who are trying to stop the Government's military action against the terrorist. The LTTE is now helpless and when they are being defeated and probably facing the last battle. The Tigers want to create an unstable political situation in the country," Weerawansa said.

The LTTE is badly in need of reprieve on the military front. They are now limited to Mulaithivu and Kilinochchi.

"When Karu Jayasuriya joined the Government he was advocating military action against the LTTE and highly appreciated of Government's stand against the LTTE. Now he says he cannot agree with the management of the economy," Weerawansa said.
