EDB's 'Ran Ridee Jewellery Show' at Crescat Boulevard

The sixth "Ran Ridee jewellery show" a glamorous event of Sri Lanka's gem and jewellery industry will be held from December from 15 to 17 from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. at the Crescat Boulevard Colombo.

This annual event organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board in association with the National Gem and Jewellery Authority of Sri Lanka will showcase exquisite jewellery collection modern and traditional done by skilled craftsmen of the southern and central provinces of Sri Lanka.

The objective of this show is to encourage and promote small and medium scale jewellers to build relationship with prospective local and foreign buyers among the cosmopolitan crowd in Colombo. Sri Lanka' is renowned for its high quality gem studded gold and silver jewellery Sri Lanka has supplied precious gemstone and jewellery to royalty throughout history. Sri Lanka's breathtaking natural heritage is blessed with, Sapphires rubies, Alexandrite, aquamarines and variety of rare stones.

Today Sri Lankan gems and jewellery attract customers across the globe including USA, Europe and Japan .The unmatched quality and craftsmanship, with the addition of the latest technology and a new focus on design excellence, Sri Lanka is emerging as a design center, offering high quality jewellery collections. The exhibitors have undergone several training programmes organised by the EDB on stone setting and jewellery designing.
