Lankan in YBI finals in Edinburgh

Nuwan Gunasekara a beneficiary of the Hambantota Youth Business Programme (HYBP) has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Competition.

The competition aims to raise the profile of young entrepreneurs around the globe particularly in countries where access to capital is challenging.

Nuwan's case study was selected from among dozens which were submitted to YBI it's network of 38 programmes around the world.

The fifth global conference organised by Prince's Youth business International was held in Edinburgh Scotland from November 1 to 7, 2008. The Entrepreneur of the year was announced at the celebration dinner held in the YBI evening of that day.

Nuwan Gunasekera from Sri Lanka together with other finalists Elijah Daramola from Nigeira and Ramu Uyyala from India were invited to Edinburgh for judging.
