NGJA donates drinking water for troops

National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) donated a consignment of 65,000 bottles of drinking water, to the Army Welfare Unit for the use of soldiers in Wanni Theatre.

This is in compliance with a request made by President, Mahinda Rajapakse. Funds were collected from Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association, Sri Lanka Gem Dealers and Miners Association, Trade Associations in the Gem and Jewellery Sector and The Gem and Jewellery Dealers Association of Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Exchange.

The consignment was handed over to Director, Army Welfare Unit Brigadier Evan Chandrasekera by Chairman, National Gem and Jewellery Authority Hasitha Tillekeratne, and members of Donor Trade Associations.
