Warne says reconsidering travel plans to Mumbai

Australian cricketing great Shane Warne is reconsidering his travel plans to Mumbai after nearly 80 people were killed in coordinated attacks across India's commercial capital, reports said Thursday.

The champion leg-spinner was on his way to Mumbai when he saw television coverage of the unfolding events while in transit at Singapore airport early Wednesday.

Warne and his travelling partner, former Victorian wicketkeeper Darren Berry, were booked to stay in the Taj Mahal, one of the luxury hotels attacked by terrorists and where hostages were being held.

Warne is the skipper and Berry the coach of the Rajasthan Royals, who are scheduled to play in Mumbai on December 5 against the Siakot Stallions in the Twenty20 Champions League.

"I'm shocked," Warne was quoted as saying in Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper.

"Darren and I got off the plane and saw the news on TV. It's unbelievable. The place is chaos.

"We are heading to Mumbai and that's the hotel we are staying at. I don't think we will be going (to India) now. Why would you?"
