Xerox powers Seylan Bank rugby team

Lumen Technologies Ltd, authorised distributor for Xerox in Sri Lanka, will power the Seylan Bank Rugby Team in the forthcoming Mercantile Rugby sevens tournament to be held from 05-07 December 2008.

The Mercantile Rugby Sevens has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1970. This year's competition consists of several teams who are bound to capture the ultimate essence of enthralling rugby. The teams will be competing for four different trophies namely Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield. Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Technologies Rukshan Sheriff said at a press briefing "It is great to be part of this tournament by sponsoring the Seylan Bank Rugby Team, the cup champions in 2007 and also to be a part of the Mercantile Rugby Sevens, where true sponsorship is displayed."

General Manager of Seylan Bank Ajith Pasqual thanked Lumen/Xerox for its sponsorship. "Our players are fully focused and geared up for the upcoming tournament it is expected to be a thriller and full of excitement, as the Bank with a Heart is out to get the Crown," Pasqual added.
