NCCSL seminar
The Women's Wing of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka
will hold a seminar on "Unleashing the Power of Women for Economic
Renaissance in Sri Lanka" on Tuesday, December 2 from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm
in the Chamber Auditorium, 450, D R Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
The seminar will be conducted by Country Chairman of Chevron Sri
Lanka Operation and head of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, Kishu Gomes.
Gomes is a holder of prestigious awards for leadership, marketing and
corporate management from recognised organisations such as Sri Lanka
Institute of Directors and CIMA Sri Lanka.
CSE workshop
The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), in association with Ernst & Young
will be conducting an evening workshop on "Understanding the DNA of
Corporate Governance - sharing the Malaysian Perspective", on December
2, at Galadari Hotel, Colombo, for chairmen, CEOs and heads of audit
committees of listed companies.
The workshop will be conducted by Mr. Philip Rao, who is a partner
with Business Risk Services practice in Ernst & Young, Malaysia.
He has two decades of experience at Ernst & Young and has served on
various external and internal audits, risk management and corporate
governance, and corporate finance engagements serving in various parts
of the world.
Panelists at the panel discussion will be Chairman CSE, Nihal Fonseka,
Country Managing Partner, E&Y Sri Lanka Asite Talwatte, Director
General, Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and Channa De
Silva and Philip Rao. |
