National Bodybuilding c’ships on Sunday

The 54th National Bodybuilding Championships will be held on Sunday at Bishop’s College auditorium commencing at 5.30 p.m. The quarter finals are to be conducted on Saturday at the YMCA, Fort. 120 competitors from 26 clubs will take part in 9 weight categories.

The Colombo Municipal Council playground section has nominated the highest number of participants. The chief guest at the finals will be Minister of Sports and Public Recreation Gamini Lokuge.

Jeff Schucroft, President of the Bodybuilding Interim Committee said that they had to organise this championship in only 28 days without any sponsors.
