Lankan CC down Air Force

Two unbeaten half centuries from Raju Gayashan and Selvin Perera helped Lankan CC beat Sri Lanka Air Force SC by five wickets on the Duckworth and Lewis scoring method in their rain hit SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier B match worked off at Rifle Green yesterday.

Air Force SC: 187 in 43.3 overs (M. Fernando 64, A. Kumara 40, Y. de Silva 24, I. de Saram 3 for 38, I. Gunasena 2 for 30, M. Pradeep 2 for 32)

Lankan CC: 179 for 5 in 31 overs (D. de Saram 23, R. Gayashan 59 n.o, S. Perera 53 n.o, A. Karunaratne 3 for 42, S. Madanayake 2 for 33)

A no decision

NCC put up a fine performance to reduce their arch rivals CCC to 58 for 7 before bad light and rain forced a no decision to their key SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier A match played at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

NCC: 151 in 20 overs (K. Kulasekera 24, L. Fernando 22, S. Dias 20, G. Chandrakumara 3 for 5, N. Randhika 3 for 16, A. Wettasinghe 3 for 41)

CCC: 58 for 7 in 11.4 overs (C. Sylvester 17, L. Fernando 3 for 12, U. Chandana 2 for 3)

Weeraratne 5/19

Paceman Kaushalya Weeraratne captured five wickets for 19 runs before bad light and rain prevented Ragama CC from defeating Baduraliya CC in their SLC Premier Tier A limited overs tournament match which ended in a no decision at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Baduraliya CC: 115 in 27.5 overs (D. Vitharana 64, U. Fernando 24, K. Weeraratne 5 for 19, U. Indrasiri 2 for 26, M. Bandara 2 for 19)

Ragama CC: 22 for no loss in 3 overs

Rain halts play

BRC and Singha SC Ambalangoda figured in a no decision in their rain hit SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier B match played at the NCC grounds in Maitland Place yesterday.

BRC: 133 for 6 in 22 overs (D. Sandagirigoda 43, P. Seneviratne 30 n.o)

Singha SC: 26 for no loss in 5 overs

Sebs 84/2 vs Police

Only eleven overs were possible in the SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier B match between Sebastianites SC and Sri Lanka Police SC which ended in a no decision at De Soysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.

Sebastianites SC: 84 for 2 in 11 overs (K. Fernando 50 n.o, P. Perera 22) v Police SC

Colts-SSC a wash out

The SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier A matches between Colts CC v SSC at Havelock Park, Tamil Union v Bloomfield at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium and Sri Lanka Army SC v Chilaw Marians SC at Panagoda were washed out without a ball been bowled.
