Though Janaka finished fourth in yesterday's race he maintains his fourth position in the overall standings while the Sri Lanka team holds onto the top position.

According to the present form of the cyclists it leads to a Sri Lankan victory. Already the riders have completed a distance of 1,220 kilometres. Yesterday the riders covered a distance of 168 and will have a rest day today.

Out of the eight stages completed so far Sri Lankan riders have managed to record wins in 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8 stages.
