Triple murder in Ratmalana

COLOMBO: A leading businessman, his brother-in-law and a domestic
aide have been stabbed to death at their Ratmalana residence by
unidentified suspects.
Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said leading businessman
L.B.M. de Silva (60) was killed by unknown persons.
The bodies were found yesterday around 12.30 p.m. “We believe that
the victims had been murdered on Saturday. Their throats have been
slit,” he added. The businessman’s brother-in-law
had been identified as Padmasiri Lamaheva (54). Following a call from
Silva’s son, Mt. Lavinia police had rushed to the scene and found the
bodies of the victims. Silva owned of L.B.M. Construction Company at
Maliban junction, Ratmalana.
A twin murder of a husband and wife was reported in Siddamulla,
Piliyandala on Sunday night, police spokesman Gunasekera said.
Wimal Mallawarachchi (50) and his wife K.D.Nanda Srimathy (50) have
been clubbed to death by unknown persons at their residence around
9.50pm.
