D.A. Rajapaksa commemorative oration

The Rajapaksa Memorial Educational, Cultural and Social Services Foundation will hold the D.A. Rajapaksa Commemorative Oration, 2008 by Prof. Sudharshan Seneviratne, Director-General Central Cultural Fund and Professor in Archaeology, University of Peradeniya on "Heritage for co-existence: situating Sri Lanka's role in the SAARC Region" at 4.30 p.m. on November 27 in Committee Room 'B' of the BMICH.

Former Minister Lakshman Jayakody will preside.

Buddhist talk

Rinzee Randeniya will deliver a public Buddhist talk in English on: "Goal of Sotapanna" at a meeting of the Servants of the Buddha Society on Saturday November 29 at 4.30 p.m. at the Maitri Hall, Lauries Road, Bambalapitiya.

Awards presentation

The awards presentation of the Educational programme conducted by the Education Division of HelpAge Sri Lanka will be held at Regent International College, Gampaha on November 25 at the College Assembly Hall.

Ananda Gee Miyasiya

"Ananda Gee Miyasiya", musical showbiz organized by the Teachers Guild of Ananda College is scheduled to be held on November 28 at 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. at the Kularathna Hall.

SLSPC AGM

The AGM and annual get-together of the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation (SLSPC) Ex-Staffs' Association organised by the Executive Committee for the members and their families will be held on November 30, Sunday at 9.30 a.m. at the Hotel Hwang-Ho Reception Hall, Castle Street, Borella. The occasion marks the 12th anniversary of the SLSPC Ex-Staffs' AGM and the Get-together.
