Tripitaka translation a gigantic task - PM
The Tripitakaya is written in Pali and its translation into Sinhala
is really a gigantic task. I pay tribute to those who were involved in
this meritorious act, Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka said at a
function held at Prime Minister’s Office recently.
“This Government grants all the assistance needed for the propagation
of Buddhism. There is said to be a delay in the translation of this
Buddhist script. But this is something which needs to be done very
carefully, the Prime Minister said.
