Jaffna celebrates Army victories

Jaffna: The victory achieved by the Army in capturing Pooneryn and the A32 Highway was celebrated in Jaffna by lighting crackers, procession of three wheelers with the National flag fluttering in the air and shouting of victory slogans over loudspeakers and playing of drums at all prominent junctions.

The National flag was hoisted at all Government departments, and Army sentries and camps while all private vans, three wheelers and SLTB buses carried the National flag.
