The International Red Cross has agreed to renovate 71 hospitals in
Sri Lanka. It is expected to spend Rs.30,000 million on this hospital
renovation project.
Addressing the gathering after opening the new building complex
Minister De Silva stated that the Government will make arrangements to
conduct Provincial Councils Elections in other provinces in the next
year.
Accordingly Uva, Wayamba, Central, Western and Southern Provincial
Councils will be held first.
According to the Minister the Government is ready for whatever
election. The Government will win the budget with a majority because it
has the majority in the Parliament and therefore there is no need of
conducting a General Election.
The Armed Forces regained Pooneryn after 20 years.
They will regain other areas soon. Some parties tried to create
