Retail summit tomorrow

The Retail Sector Market Interest Group (MIG) of The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region has organised a retail summit under the theme "Delivering Retail Wins - Through Great Supply Chain Strategies, Retail Thinking and Shopper Understanding" to be held tomorrow at Water's Edge.

The Summit will be addressed by Teiman Nieuwoudt, Consultant, Supply Chainlabs, Vietnam; Asanga Ranasinghe, Customer Development Director of Unilever Sri Lanka & Head of Corporate Integration and Market Interest Groups of CIM Sri Lanka Region; and Manila Khuller, Trade and Shopper Marketing Director of Ogilvy Action, Asia Pacific Region.

While the retail sector is fairly mature in their endeavors in marketing themselves, the traditional retailer is well behind in approaching his business in a professional manner. The MIG Retail Sector of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka Region has identified the need for the further development of these skills within the retail community.
