Bodum Sri Lanka celebrates Silver Jubilee

BODUM Sri Lanka is celebrating 25 years in Sri Lanka this year.

The company in 25 years, has been providing technology to various other industries in addition to the food and beverage industry. Presently Bodum is established as being the leading suppliers to the poultry industry, dairy packaging industry, confectionery and beverage industries, During the past 25 years BODUM has also expanded activities servicing other industries such as the chemical, fertiliser, cosmetic, hospitality, hospital and material handling industries to name a few.

Bodum always considered a reliable and efficient after sales service to customers of paramount importance and during the past 25 years considerable expense and emphasis has been placed in this area of business.

Initially the emphasis was in the food and beverage industry which resulted in tremendous growth in large scale production, improvement of quality and introduction of various new product lines.

"Bodum has contributed both by the implementation of turnkey projects and individual machinery for specific requirements," says Country Manager, Frank Miranda.

"The priority of BODUM Sri Lanka was to provide the latest technology, know-how, machinery and equipment from Germany and Europe, to industries mainly in the Food And Beverage Industry. Our expectations were more than adequately fulfilled as today, most of the major players in the food and beverage industry in Sri Lanka are equipped with the best of technology and equipment, second to none in Asia and probably equal to most in Europe."

Today Bodum Sri Lanka, has moved into several other industries and areas of operation. "Our emphasis and investment in an extremely high quality after sales service has also proven to be much appreciated by our customers in Sri Lanka." Turnover and profits while necessary have not been the priority. Satisfaction in seeing a customer develop and prosper, using high tech equipment and thereby improving on efficiency, lesser down time, easier maintenance, contributing toward higher profits has been as imperative.

This in turn has provided us a large and valuable customer base and the strength to carry on for 25 years. In Sri Lanka today low cost and low tech equipment are on offer at every nook and corner. Bodum has however not compromised or competed in matching this low quality equipment.

The larger number of Sri Lankan customers understands this and therefore have been contributory towards Bodum being the leading supplier of quality machinery and equipment in several of their areas of operation for the last 25 years.
