YC tells Pondy Governor

Take action against bodies supporting Tigers

PUDUCHERRY: The Puduch -erry unit of Youth Congress (YC) submitted a memorandum to Lt Governor Govind Singh Gurjar seeking his intervention to take action against some organisations which have been supporting the LTTE.

A five member delegation of YC, headed by President K Pandian submitted the memorandum at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday.

Later, talking to reporters he alleged that it was indeed bewildering that in the name of “championing” the cause of Tamils in Sri Lanka some organisations and political parties were extending support to the LTTE.

He also recalled how in the course of observing fast the functionaries of some Tamil organisations had made “derogatory” remarks against AICC leader Sonia Gandhi.
