Social justice award for AGSEP

The University of Technology of Sydney, Australia, has conferred the Vice Chancellor's Social Justice and Human Rights Award on AGSEP, a social service organisation in Sri Lanka for its commitment for improving the living standard of communities.

The organisation has received the award for its peace village projects through which they have brought about community development.

It has conducted several cultural, social and sports events which has brought about friendship and understanding between the three main communities of Sri Lanka.

The award which recognises outstanding contribution to advancement of social justice and community development was accepted by Nico Schulenkorf on behalf of AGSEP.
