Girls under-15 cager tourney begins today

The All Island Inter-school 'A' Division Girls Under-15 Basketball Championship conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association will get underway on October 31.

Ten teams from the leading schools in the country will compete under two groups and matches are scheduled to be played at two venues.

Holy Family Convent, Dehiwala, the champions of the recently concluded Colombo South Zonal Inter-school Basketball Tournament is grouped under 'A' and it's expected to perform well in their school court.

Group 'A' will consists of Holy Family Convent Dehiwala, Colombo International School, St. Bridget's Convent, Anula Devi Vidyalaya Galle and Holy Family Convent Kurunegala.

Group 'B' will comprise St. Paul's Milagiriya, St. Joseph's Girls School Nugegoda, St. Lawrence School Wellawatte, De Mazenod College Kandana and Pushpadana Girls School Kandy.

The finals of the championship will be worked off on November 4 at 4.30 pm preceded by the consolation finals at 3.00 pm at Holy Family Convent, Dehiwala.
