Patha Dumbara Ekamuthu Sports Club won the men's volleyball title and Gangawata Korale DS Sports Club won the women's title at the Kandy district volleyball tournament conducted by the Kandy District Sports Development Foundation at the police grounds, Kandy recently.

12 women's teams and 16 men's teams participated in this tournament. Runners-up of the men's competition were Smart Shirts SC, Uda Dumbara and runners-up in the women's tournament were Minigamuwa SC of Galagedera.
