CIMA Workshop
CIMA Sri Lanka Division will conduct its mastercourse on financial
awareness for non finance managers - on November 13 and 14.
The two-day workshop, designed to deliver the knowledge that
non-finance staff need to know to understand, use and discuss the
financial information so crucial to business success, will take place at
the CIMA Auditorium.
The faculty for the course includes Finance Manager, Richard Pieris &
Co Limited Mallik De Silva, Group, General Manager - Group Finance,
Hayleys Advantis Limited Sriyamal Gamage and Assistant Vice President -
Finance, NDB Bank Dhanan Senathirajah.
The workshop is relevant to all managers, with previous delegates
including project managers, marketing managers, technical managers,
general managers, engineers, business development managers, and many
others including managing directors and CEOs.
Touchwood Chairperson
Touchwood Investments Ltd, has appointed Rohini Nanayakkara as their
chairperson.
Nanayakkara was the General Manager of the Bank of Ceylon, CEO of the
Private Sector Infrastructure Development Fund, a World Bank funded
project, Director/CEO of Seylan Bank and Chairman/Director of several
other financial institutions and business organisations. Nanayakkara is
also Chairperson of LOLC and its subsidiaries.
Browns agreement
Browns Group of Companies entered into a collective agreement with
the All Ceylon Commercial and Industrial Workers' Union (ACCIWU)
covering all manual grade employees of the group for a period of three
years.
This agreement is the first ever-collective agreement signed based on
the New Colombo Consumer Price Index.
