Khemadasa brought out the Sri Lankan identity in all his creations - NFF

The National Freedom Front in a press release sent by its leader Wimal Weerawansa conveyed its deep condolences on the death of Sri Lanka's music maestro Premasiri Khemadasa.

"This music master was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Ruhunu University for his outstanding contribution to the field of music in this country.

"He brought the Sri Lankan identity into every creation whether in cinema, drama or music.

"His contribution through the 'Khemadasa Padanama' (Foundation) brought out the latest talent in Sri Lanka.

"This internationally acclaimed music master leaves us at a time when people of his calibre are very badly needed especially at this present juncture".

"We join the mourners both at national and international level and convey our deep condolences to the family members and dear ones".
