Festival of victory of truth - PM

COLOMBO: Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka in a Deepavali message, said the Deepavali Festival is symbolised on the festival of victory of truth.

He added; “This festival is also full of folklores and the defeat of Navakapura is one such strong traditional belief.

God Vishnu interviews and defeats the evil forces thereby all the darkness disappear to bring forth light. We must defeat terrorism in our midst. We can then enjoy happiness. I convey my greetings to all Hindus.”
