Pawan and Naduni clinch Under-18 Singles Titles

Pawan Hemasinghe of Vidyartha College, Kandy and Naduni Surasinghe of Southland Girls College, Galle clinched the Under-18 Singles Titles at the Future Spin Table Tennis Championship conducted by The Future Spin Table Tennis Academy at Cinecita Indoor Stadium, Nuwara Eliya recently.

Pawan beat Nirmana Athauda of Dharmaraja College, Kandy in the Boys event by 11/02, 11/03 while in Girls event Naduni Surasinghe overcame Naduni Abeykoon of St. Anthony's Balika Vidyalaya, Katugastota by 12/10, 11/05.

Earlier in the Boys Under-15 event Pawan Hemasinghe beat Deshan Bandara of Kingswood College, Kandy by 11/06, 08/11, 11/02.

In the Under-15 Girls Singles Praveena Silva of Girls High School, Kandy beat Kaushalya Isurini of Sri Sumangala Balika Vidyalaya, Panadura by 11/9, 11/5.

The other results:

Girls Under-8 Singles: Viduni Odheesha Manawadu of Dharmashoka College, Ambalangoda beat Thanushi Nimansala Rodrigo of Mahamaha Girls College, Kandy by 11/07, 11/07.

Girls Under-8 Boys Singles: Chamod Sandeepa of Dharmashoka College, Ambalangoda beat W.M.C.B. Bandara of Dharmaraja College, Kandy by 11/04, 11/4.

Girls Under-10 Singles: Isuri Sandamini Godawatte of Maliyadeva Girls College, Kurunegala beat Sheshala Bandara of St. Joshep Balika Vidyalaya, Kegalle by 11/02, 11/08.

Boys Under-10 Singles: Dinesh Kavishka of Vidyaratha College, Kandy beat Sanka Wimalasiri of Dharmaraja College, Kandy by 11/5, 11/6.

Girls Under-12 Singles: Praveena Silva of Girls High School, Kandy beat Upeka Jayaratne of Girls High School by 11/3, 11/5.

Boys Under-12 Singles: Thilina Wijesiri of Vidyartha College beat his school mate Krishan Wickramarathna by 11/04, 11/08.

Novices Women's: Naduni Surasinghe of Southland Girls' College, Galle beat S. Kongahakotuwa of Pushpadana Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy by 11/02, 11/03.

Novices Men's: Udaya Ranasinghe of Vidyartha College, Kandy beat M.M.C.L. Senevirathna of Sri Lanka Army by 11/05, 11/06.

Intermediate Women's: Dulmini Wijebandara of St. Joseph's Balika Vidyalaya, Kegalle beat Kasuni Pitigala of Southland Girls' College, Galle by 11/06, 11/06.

Intermediate Men's: M.D. Hameed of St. Anthony's College, Katugastota beat Sudara H. Samarasekera of Dharmaraja College, Kandy by 11/04, 11/05.
