Defrauding inquirer arrested

An Inquirer into Sudden Deaths and All Island JP who had allegedly
defrauded many unsuspecting persons several lakhs of rupees by promising
jobs or get their children admitted to prestigious schools was arrested
by the Katugastota police following public complaints.
Police said the suspect had recently obtained Rs. 81,000 from a
person in Nikatenna to admit his child to a Kandy school and Rs. 50,000
from two persons in Nugawela and Barigama promising jobs in the Port and
the CEB.
Kandy Chief Magistrate Sumudu Premachandra remanded him till November
