Schols for Samurdhi children

The Education Ministry will offer scholarships to 2,000 schoolchildren who are from Samurdhi recipients' families, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said.

These scholars will be selected, based on the result of the year five scholarship examination held this year.

Accordingly 2,000 scholars who received best results will receive Rs. 2,400 per month.

The scholarship will begin next year and continued for 10 months.

Students can use the money for their hostel expenses.
