Genuine spare parts through TVS islandwide network

TVS has decided to assist all users by providing frequently used spare parts to customers at very competitive prices through their island wide dealer network.

Assistant General Manager (Customer Service) Roshan Jayasingha said most motorcycle users in Sri Lanka have failed to maintain their motor cycles in the proper manner due to the non usage of genuine spare parts.

"They have not used a reputed service centre for repairs, and by replacing with cheaper non genuine spares, they have caused damage and more harm to their motor cycles he said.

Generally there are two types of parts in a motor cycle, or in any vehicle, the first type is wear and tear parts and other is life long parts like Brake Cables, Oil filters, should be replaced in the short term, but engine repairs should be done in the long term.

However, most users refrain from using genuine spare parts for meaningless and shortsighted reasons. As a result, the customer could end up by paying huge sums of money for frequent repairs.

We have realised that our customers should never be allowed to face such problems and should instead benefit by using genuine spare parts from TVS and we have made these spares freely available through our dealer and service network," he said.

All TVS motorcycle spare parts carry our brand name and we request our customers to check for the TVS Hologram sticker when they purchase spare parts from any dealer," he said.

"It is difficult to estimate the loss to customers who use inferior spare parts, but all TVS genuine spare parts carry the TVS guarantee. The company will not be liable for any damage caused by not using genuine spare parts", he said.

The benefits of using genuine spare parts are numerous such as, improved performance increase in the life span of the bike and the elimination of frequent repairs and breakdowns.

Comments made by non genuine spare part importers are that genuine spare parts are very expensive this statement is totally incorrect and misleading. Customers should be careful not get duped into buying inferior parts as against the genuine spares, to get the optimum performance from your bike," said Assistant General Manager (Spare Parts) Chaminda Wanigaratne.

TVS has over 500 dealers, Island wide involved in service & sale of genuine spare parts. TVS Company covers almost every town in Sri Lanka from Point Pedro to Dondra Head and from Colombo to Batticaloa. A TVS owner or prospective customer can now purchase spare parts or a TVS motor bike very conveniently and easily from anywhere in the Island.
