Lankan bomb alert software to vie for Indian award
India: A software developed in Sri Lanka, which can alert security
men to bomb threats and other emergencies, is among the entries
nominated for this year’s Manthan Awards to be held in New Delhi from
October 16-18.

12 LTTE terrorists killed
Twelve LTTE terrorists were killed and six
others reported wounded in yesterday’s fighting between troops and
LTTE at Wanni and North. In addition two soldiers have laid their
lives and seven wounded during the fighting.
