Musaeus rowers out to level series

The oarswomen from Ladies College the defending champions and Musaeus
College will battle it out for major honours at the 5th annual Regatta
to be held on Saturday, October 11 on the Beira Waters starting at 2
p.m.
Last year Ladies College rowers rowed with great enhance, strength
and balance to win the overall title to carry away the Marie Musaeus
Higgins Trophy collecting 34 points to 6 points. For Ladies it was their
second win in the series 2-1 with the 2006 regatta ending in a tie 20
points each.
Ladies College rowers are expected to give a repeat performances but
Musaeus rowers are expected to offer stiff opposion to level the series
2 - all, Interesting and exciting races are on the cards. The events to
be worked off are: 'A' Scull, 'B' Scull, 'C' Four, 'B' Pair, 'A' Pair,
'B' Four and the main race for the day the Boat Race.
The champion Ladies College oarswomen won the 'B' Pair, 'A' Pair, 'B'
Four and the Boat Race. They also won the 'C' Four (but no points were
awarded) while Musaeus won the 'A' Scull, 'B' Scull and 'B' Pair at the
2007 Regatta. |
