Police trying to establish bomber's identity

Over 50 persons questioned by police

Police investigating Monday's Anuradhapura bomb explosion which killed Major General Janaka Perera and 28 others is now trying to establish the identity of the suicide bomber, DIG (NCP) K. V. P. Pathirana said.

Two police teams involved in investigations has elicited several vital information after questioning nearly 50 persons, he said.

The video film recovered from the camera of slain journalist Rashmi Maharoof has provided several clues which would help identify the bomber, he added.
