UNESCO ExCo Chairman condemns LTTE bomb attack in A'pura
UNESCO Executive Committee Chairman Olabiyi Babalola Joseph Yai
expressed deepest condolences to Sri Lanka on the LTTE suicide bomb
attack in Anuradhapura on October 5 killing General Janaka Perera and 27
others.
He urged the Sri Lankan delegate to the UNESCO Executive Committee,
Education Minister Susil Premajayantha to convey his condolences to the
families of the victims.
Immediately after Mr Premajayantha's speech at UNESCO Headquarters in
Paris, Mr. Yai, who is also the permanent delegate of Benin expressed
his sympathies on behalf of the Unesco Executive Committee. He offered
the international community's support for the fight against terrorism.
The Chairman looked at Mr Premajayantha and said, "We are with you".
