Local employees save SLPA $15m

The Sri Lanka Port Authority has saved US$15 million as a result of
deploying local employees.
A large volume of construction of the sea port at Hambantota has been
carried on within the last 10 months and within 30 months, construction
work of the first phase of the sea port will end, the Sri Lanka Port
Authority Chairman M.P.B. Wickramage told the Daily News.
He said out of the 1,200 employees deployed for the construction work
of the sea port, 200 are Chinese nationals. |
