Assassin a short man in a checked shirt

The assassin was a short male wearing a blue checked shirt and a pair of knee long shorts. The ceremony was in full swing when the incident occurred. The leader of an education services Trade Union, Uditha Hemasiri Fernando was addressing the ceremony when the intruder ran to where the speaker was standing.

Major General Janaka Perera was seated close by.

There were rows of chairs in the garden in front of the new office for the invitees. Between the rows of chairs, a space was left for people to walk to the front corridor of the office where a temporary platform was formed to hold the ceremony.

The man ran up to the speaker and uttered something and then turned to Major General. He then unbuttoned his shirt and within seconds there was a huge explosion. I crawled under a chair. When I looked around a few minutes later, bodies were scattered all over the place.
