Rahula Principal tops list in Southern Province

Principal of Rahula College, Matara Kithsiri Liyanagamage who was adjudged the best out of 57 principals in the province was felicitated recently.

The felicitation ceremony was held at the Galle Town Hall where Southern Province Governor Kumari Balasuriya was the chief guest. Southern Province Chief Minister Shan Wijaya Lal de Silva and Provincial Secretary of the Education Department A. Wijetilleke were also present.

Liyanagamage has really brought honour to Rahula College and is greatly respected by the members of the staff, School Development Society and Old Boys Association and has always worked with these parties for the uplift of the school. The school has benefited as the exam results of the students bears ample testimony to this.

This is not the first accolade for Liyanagamage. He was conferred with the honourary title of "Vidya Nikethana - Dhakshina Abhimani by Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka recently.
