Plenty Foods win Gold

Plenty Foods (Pvt) Ltd. a subsidiary of CBL, won a Gold Award at the NAC Agri-Business Awards 2008 Ceremony of the National Agribusiness Council, held at BMICH in recognition of effective implementation of the backward integration programme launched with the farmers in the production of Samaposha.

The award was presented to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Plenty Foods (Pvt) Ltd., Mohan Ratwatte by Minister of Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services Maithripala Sirisena.

This process was initiated with the involvement of more than 10,000 farmers to help the uplift of the national agricultural industry by strengthening the social agricultural economy.

In addition to the backward integration programme the company was also commended for its Corporate Social Responsibility projects.
