SLID Power Breakfast XXXIV

Executive Chairman of the CIC Group of Companies, B.R.L. Fernando will address members of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) and their guests on "Sri Lanka agriculture food security" at the SLID Power Breakfast XXXIV held on October 7 commencing 7.30 am at "On Golden Pond", Hotel Taj Samudra.

Fernando is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and has had exposure to various management programmes, both in London and in Japan.

Fernando is currently the Co-Chairman of the Agricultural Cluster under the National Council for Economic Development and a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Enterprise Development Authority.

Senanayake takes over Sampath Bank

Indulakshin Wickramasinghe (Arthur) Senanayake takes over as Chairman of Sampath Bank. He has been a founder Director of the Bank and its Deputy Chairman since 1998. He will be the fifth Chairman of the Bank since its inception in 1986.

He is a Past Honorary Trade Representative for Singapore Trade Development Board in Sri Lanka and is the Chairman of American President Line (Pvt) Ltd. He is an old boy of Mahinda College, Galle.

He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IWS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd - a conglomerate with diversified business interests in many industries in the country.
