Rugby squad for WC qualifiers

Two outstanding schoolboy ruggerites Sajith Saranga and Dinusha Chaturanga from Isipatana College were named in the Sri Lanka team for the Rugby World Cup Asian qualifying sevens tournament which will be worked off in Hong Kong from October 4 and 5.

Sri Lanka have been drawn in group 'C' for this event along with the host nation Hong Kong and India.

The Sri Lanka sevens team:

Pradeep Liyanage (Captain-Kandy SC), Dilanka Wijesekera (CH and FC), Amjad Buksh (CR and FC), Wasim Thajudeen (Havelocks), Ashen Karthelis (CR and FC), Lasintha de Costa (CR and FC), Ashan de Costa (CR and FC), Mohamed Sheriff (CR and FC), Saliya Kumara (Kandy SC) Sajith Saranga (Isipatana) and Dinusha Chaturanga (Isipatana).
