PC House appointed Dell distributor

PC House has been appointed as the tier 1 distributor to market the globally renowned Dell brand of PCs, laptops, servers and storage solutions catering to the needs of corporate, State and individual customers in Sri Lanka.

The multinational company Dell Inc. based in Round Rock, Texas - develops, manufactures, sells, and supports personal computers and other computer-related products.

Dell Inc. listens to customers and delivers innovative technology and services they trust and value. Uniquely enabled by its direct business model, Dell has served businesses, governments, large organisations and individuals in Asia-Pacific since the early 1990s. Dell direct sales operations are currently in 13 markets in the region: Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

In addition, 38 distributors serve another 31 markets. Chairman, PC House and PCH Holdings, S.H.M. Rishan said, "This is one of the biggest occasions for PC House. The partnership between PC House and Dell will provide access to Dell certified standard services like the "next business day", With Dell technology, environmental responsibility and offering the best service solutions, Dell became the first company in the information technology industry to establish a product-recycling goal (in 2004) and completed the implementation of its global consumer recycling-program in 2006.

General Manager/Director Development Market Group Dell Asia Pacific, Siva Ananthan Sundram said, "We are happy to be a part of PC House in Sri Lanka, they have shown market leadership with strong retail, distribution channels and technical support to back customers in Sri Lanka. We believe PCH's experience and local knowledge can help us expand and reach untapped markets including SMB in Sri Lanka. We were looking for a partner with fine market presence and exceptional service standards to help us expand our business."

Through the tie up, PC House have plans to penetrate the market 15%, more in the hardware PC category by focussing on building brand awareness, uplifting customer experience, expansion of branch network and adding innovative solutions to the product portfolio.
